Main Window

Main window of DAEMON Tools USB consists of two tabs. The first one is devoted to the server side, and the second one - to the client side. The program can be used as a server and as a client simultaneously.

Remote Devices tab

Remote Devices tab contains the list of server you are connected to and the devices that are shared on the servers. This tab represents the client side of DAEMON Tools USB. It consists of several important areas:

Main Window

  1. Toolbar provides easy access to the most high-usage functions.
  2. The switch allows moving from one tab to another.
  3. The main area of Remote Devices tab is a table that shows the servers you are connected to and the devices that are shared on these servers. The table has two columns: Servers column with the name of the server and State column that shows whether the server is available now.
  4. Remote Devices tab and each device in it has its contextual menu. Using menu you can connect to or disconnect from the certain device, add new server or remove the existing one and refresh the servers and devices to see whether they all are available now.
  5. Status Bar shows short messages with the information about program's operating.
  6. Three icons in the upper-right corner allows minimizing, maximizing and closing DAEMON Tools USB.

Local Devices tab

Local Devices tab shows the devices that are physically connected to your computer. From this tab you can share the devices with other computers, so it represents the server side of DAEMON Tools USB. Local Devices tab consists of several important areas:

  3. The main area of Local Devices tab is a table that shows the devices connected to your computer. This table has three columns: Local Devices column shows the name of the device, State column informs you about the existence and connection status and Client column lets you know about the computers that use this device.
  4. The devices from Local Devices tab have contextual menu. It allows you to open or close the access to the device and refresh the devices to get the information about their current state.
  5. Status Bar shows short messages with the information about program's operating.
  6. Three icons in the upper-right corner allows minimizing, maximizing and closing DAEMON Tools USB.
